The intrepid space science kids of NASA are preparing to kill off our world's Hubble Space Telescope. Hubble is growing old and a mite cranky and is in serious need of a trip to the repair shop. Hubble's already known position, it's in space, makes a trip to the repair shop improbable SO, NASA needs to send a crew of space mechanics up to the Telescope for a maintenance mission. It is problematic that NASA let the Space Shuttle Transport program go into mothballs. HOWEVER, with the arrival of the James Webb Space Telescope and several other space telescopes in the mix and will come on line in our almost near future, NASA wants to "deorbit" our Hubble and let it burn up upon reentry. I'm of the opinion that idea is bullshit and I told NASA exactly that. I never heard back from NASA. To set the record straight, NASA MUST bring our Hubble Space Telescope back from space and place OUR Hubble in the Smithsonian Space Science Museum in a place of high honor. The Hubble Space Telescope has inspired several generations of young people to seek education in space and science fields, provided astrophysicist, physicists, brainiacs the likes of Neil deGrasse Tyson, with mountains of space imaging, scientific data, and further all our world's understanding of our universe. Hubble MUST BE SAVED and that notion is a no brainer. Hubble has earned the right to come back home and be honored as an international hero. Bottomline would be that the Hubble Space Telescope belongs to every last human that walks or crawls on our Planet Earth. We all of us have earned the right to have a say as to what happens to Hubble. NASA cannot be the last arbiter with say so over Hubble's last stand. So we the people of Planet Earth need to start badgering NASA to get a grip, make necessary arrangements and machinery necessary to bring Hubble back to earth and honor this amazing piece of science exploration.
