Sad Sad News ...

 It has been announced by the Musée du Louvre, the DaVinci masterwork 'Mona Lisa, is to be buried. That's right and what a surprise for the French tourism industry. Did you know that about 20,000 people a day line up to "view the Mona Lisa" and there is much moaning and bitchery from any number of tourists that did NOT get to have a half decent look of the 'Mona Lisa'. Turns out that 'Mona Lisa' is being "loved to death" so the French government is stepping in to settle the arguments over the Lisa's location and that just about settles any contentions or "other issues" surrounding the 'Mona Lisa' being buried. You see the government of France and it's presiding Napoleonic emperor, one Emmanuel Macron, gave the Musée du Louvre ample time to find a solution to the 'Mona Lisa' location being jam packed at all open hours of their museum and as the enablers of the 'Mona Lisa' didn't get around to fixing this pressing issue, well, Macron has "fixed the problem" and there you go. Bury her for the sake of future DaVinci viewing and that is what the enablers are about to do in accordance with the Macron edict. So if one is about to take a visit to Paris to see the DaVinci masterwork 'Mona Lisa', well you might want to hurry up so's you can almost get to see Mona before she's buried. This all seems more like a kerfuffle than an actual serious issue. That's just me. I'm of the opinion that the French are an odd bunch. They eat frogs for hell sakes. I'm not certain I could eat frogs. well ... it is certain, I'm not about to eat any frogs. legs or otherwise. did you know that the French like to eat snails as well as frogs? no thank you very much please, none for me. somebody get me a cheeseburger and I'm good. 😏

Did I Miss Anything?

 Back from the desert and our trip was amazing. Beautiful weather, quality lodging, good food (We found a little Mexican restaurant that offered up the best chili verde I've ever eaten), managed to avoid hitting a mule deer that was standing in the middle of the road, and in general this was one of our best trips ever. 300 miles into the Escalante Desert and even more miles than that away from civilization. I doubt seriously that we missed much while away. I found out that Israel's murderous slaughter of Palestinians continues unabated. I really didn't think the savage fuckers were about to let up. Israel's "final solution" for their Palestinian problem is working out just ducky for Israelis. However Israel's "final solution" isn't working so well for Palestinians. Damned disgraceful no doubt. Russia is still blasting Ukraine in another genocidal assault that assaults human sensibility. The human species never learns. I'm glad we got away when we did. I was getting really irritable over world events and the complete lack of diplomatic solutions that can bring peace if only for a brief moment in time. Yes I ganked that line from Dr. Stephen Hawking. Dr. Hawking is one of my all time personal heroes along with Dr. Carl Sagan. Oh yes and Mr. Rogers. Damn ... all three of those men are dead. Not a one of any human anywhere will get off this rock alive. Inconceivably inevitable. Now for Saturday machine art. I like creating graphic art. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

Deep Desert Safari

 Headed for the desert. Deep within the Escalante Desert. A destination that is almost heaven. For me anyway. Rocks and deer and antelope and elk and geothermal stuff and alfalfa and cattle and things you simply never get to see living in an urban setting. There are urban settings in the Mojave and we live in one of those but, deep desert requires some travel and being prepared for ... well ... whatever. We'll be back some days later on. Until then ... be well people and keep a bag packed just in case. In case of ... well ... you know ...

Earth Day

 Earth Day is coming up here pretty soon. Tomorrow would be pretty exact. Our world's first 'Earth Day' was April 22, 1970. Why ... seems like only yesterday ... (wistful memories of days long gone) ... and so it goes. Every day should be Earth Day. Our Planet Earth is the only dang home we humans will ever know. Forget all the sci/fi crap-o-la about living on some distant planet. That is the stuff of unattainable fantasy. Hell, at the rate humans are progressing in space, humanity won't get off our world for about another two or three centuries. In any manner of sustainability. Yeah the human species is going about the business of space exploration in typical human fashion with heads jammed firmly up ass ignorant. So as our current home world is being trashed and used up in vicious acts of planetary rape, any number of humans are banking on life off world. Good luck with that. Our Planet will cease to support life sooner than anyone ever expected and eventuality that will be a bitch. Dang pitiful no doubt. Now for Sunday machine art.

earth day brings out all the rabid cynicism that I have learned to live with after about 50+ years of watching my fellow humans act really fucking stupid. this year's earth day is no different. more painful reminders of how my species is wrecking our world. 😐

You Broke My Heart ... I Busted Your Jaw

 Israel devastated Palestine ... Israel then took a shot at Iran ... in Syria ... THEN ... Iran took a shot at Israel. THEN ... Israel took another shot at Iran. "World leaders urge calm" ... bystanders watching from the sidelines (that'd be me) respond with a resounding ... really? Are you fucking kidding me? So Middle Eastern 'tit for tat' will occupy everyone's time for the foreseeable future and innocent people (like myself and others) will be unceremoniously slaughtered for simply, and for no other obvious reason, living underneath where bombs and missiles and drones and "other weapons of mass destruction" fall menacingly to the ground. Actually, all that weapons targeting is intentional. Horrific slaughter with much ancillary death is by design and ergo, you have a nifty military/industrial complex that isn't really so complicated. Humans die very VERY easily. Humans lack biological armaments designed to withstand today's modern weaponry. Golly ... isn't weapons evolution a modern marvel? Sure it is. Humans tend to be obscenely fascinated with war. Bloodshed. Horrific dismemberment of limbs and various parts of the human anatomy are easily obtained using today's ever so deviously designed weaponry. Did you know that the United States of America leads the world in really creepy if not technically dangerous weaponry? Well America sure as hell does and is contributing to global slaughter on an industrial scale. America even has a research and development agency known as DARPA. DARPA is an ever so cute acronym for 'Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency'. Doesn't that sound cute and almost cuddly? Why you could almost take DARPA home to meet the family. Well, that is IF you've a mind to blast your family smooth off the Planet. Away back in the day, a band known as "Spooky Tooth" released an album titled 'You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw'. Hypocrisy ... A Chorus Line In 2 Parts

 The Hallelujah Chorus and that would be the AIPAC/Israel-First Corner of our political theater of the absurd, managed to subvert plans at the United Nations to grant Palestine recognized status as a full fledged nation and member of the U.N.. The U.N. motion had to make it's way through the Security Council where the United States promptly on command, and obediently, vetoed the motion to grant standing to Palestine. Gosh is that about a surprise or what. The United States of America routinely pays respect, military support, and obedience to Israel. You see fabulously wealthy Jews living and prospering in our America force feed Israel and Israelis to the exclusion of all others. In every conceivable manner. That would include the latest high tech military crap-o-la made in America and then 'we the people' offer up any military advantage to be had by the U.S. to Israel. Yes, it is a rigged playing table and Israel wins over all others. Including the U.S. By the way, it's not a good idea to offer up any criticism of Israel. No it is not. Criticism is not met with open appreciation for America's First Amendment of our Constitution. Free speech is subject to "interpretation and application" when Israel is subject of the criticism. Dang aunty Semites anyway. Just another day at the hypocrisy factory. CEO Genocide Joe Biden presiding. Now for Friday machine art. the United Nations Security Council needs to be abolished. Especially when issues regarding Israeli crimes against Palestinian humanity are involved. The U.S. COULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE abstained from the Security Council vote but, nope ain't about to happen and more than likely not in our lifetime. hypocritical bullshit no doubt. 😐
