DATELINE - Mesa, Arizona... a Mesa Zoni (zoni is short for Arizona citizen) got a big surprise when he went out to his garage and found 20 western diamondback rattlesnakes nestling up comfy cozy in his aforementioned garage. Surprise! 5 adult rattlers and 15 young 'uns. That find is politely determined to be a "quorum" of rattlesnakes. You see the adult rattlers are pretty dang poisonous. That being stated, the baby snakes are more than dangerous AS, the baby rattlesnakes can't regulate their venom like an adult rattlesnake does so people are more likely to die from being bitten by a baby rattler than an adult. Rattlesnake. You can imagine the shocking terror embracing the Mesa, Arizona man upon finding 'snakes in his garage'. Western diamondback rattlesnakes at that. Twenty rattlesnakes. With baby rattlesnakes out numbering the adult rattlesnakes three to one. Yikes. The rattlesnakes aren't really so dangerous provided you leave the snakes alone. Trust me on this, the western diamondback rattlesnakes will give you plenty of warning IF you invade their personal space. The baby rattlers not so much. They're babies and not quite up to speed on how to get along with human encroachment on the snakes environment. Humans can be more than a little insensitive when encroaching on natural environments. Now for Saturday machine art. Be sure to give the snakes plenty of respect and...space.
