United Auto Workers, the union, is out on strike. So are the SAG and WGA respectively. The 'G' in SAG/WAG stands for "guild." SAG and WGA are the actors and writers that make movie and television entertainment that is ever so fascinating to try and figure out what in hell any of it means. Anyway so, the leadership of the UAW, the union, turned down a 21% wage increase offered by Stellantis which just so happens to be what's left over from Chrysler and Fiat and Citroen and Jeep and some other cars that sold so well the cars were never offered here in the good old U.S. of A., in a genuine mega-merger. You know automakers. Stellantis is one of the big 3 automotive conglomerates that crank out crap-nasty cars and trucks and then ask the spending public just about anywhere to fork over significant amounts of debt in the form of 6 or 7 year contracts. The length of contract is to be able to pay the debt off. In financial theory. Better still, take the auto retailers up on a "lease" and then be sure to read ALL the fine print on that "lease" contract prior to signing on for more debt. The fine print contains all the icky little flies in a contract/lease ointment. Anyway and after a rather breathy digression, the last actual fiduciary raise I received was a RCH over 2%. Ask a military serviceperson you SHOULD be acquainted with, what is a 'RCH'. I could offer up an explanation BUT I'm not about to invite anymore accusatory criticism. Not at the present time anyway. Okay and cutting to the chase here, a 21% pay increase is sure as hell nothing to sneeze at. I reject any mention of what corporate executives receive in salary and bonuses. What those ruling assholes receive is dictated by a "board of directors and a company's stock holders" and most everyone else is precluded from having any say in the matter. 21% raise? Yes please...I'd love to have a raise like that. Any raise or cost of living allocation (that's lovingly known as a COLA) I might receive is dictated by our wholly fucked up United States Congress. Better known as a FUBAR in sitting comfortable position or sitting pretty. Reject a wage increase such as that one??? What the fuck are your paid and pampered union leaders THINKING?!? The union proletariat are getting screwed by their unions and the conglomerates. Now for Monday machine art. I simply haven't much sympathy left for stupid people. Which for time being we shall refer to as "Boeberts."
