Billion dollar babies and thank you Alice Cooper. Cooper has nothing to do with this Monday screed. Big financial news ... Selena Gomez is now a self made billionaire and she joins ranks with Taylor Swift who also is in that billion dollar baby club. First off, I have not a clue as to whom Selena Gomez may in fact be. That being stated, Ms. Gomez made her mountain of money the old fashioned way ... "she earned it." Doesn't matter what I may in fact know about Selena Gomez. I'm up to speed on Taylor Swift. She's a singer with a billion dollar fan club and that's world wide. Ms. Swift is swapping spit with a Kansas City Chiefs tight end name of Travis Kelce. Ms. Gomez isn't swapping spit with anyone that TMZ might be aware of. What Ms. Gomez does or not does, hardly matters. Ms. Selena has so goddamn much money, she can buy her a contingent of qualified lip-lockers and not have to worry about STD's. All this trivial pursuit comes back to football and money ... piles of money. Money is what the NFL has been about ever since ... ever since Roger Goodell took command as commissioner of the NFL. My point ... the Dallas Cowboys football team of the NFL has just granted their quarterback name of Dak Prescott a new and extension contract that awards Prescott a shade under a quarter of a billion dollars. $240 million dollar contract and that makes Prescott the highest paid NFL player ever. You should know that Prescott as the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has NOT been able to win a Super Bowl. Prescott has not been able to win a playoff game. HOWEVER, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys organization is tying the Cowboys future to a quarterback that is mostly a loser. This is America after all and profits are always more important than people. Profits Before People is the new American mantra. That and Alice Cooper's 'Billion Dollar Babies'. I wonder if Ms. Gomez would mind sliding a grand or so in my direction? I could work up a spiffy digital portrait of her and her new found wealth. Now for Monday machined artware and good on Ms. Gomez and Taylor Swift. Dak Prescott can get stuffed and he'll more than likely end up with a season ending injury as the guy now has an "I'm really really rich" target on his helmet.
