Smile And Wave Boys ... Smile And Wave

Greenland the island of, is slowly yet surely floating off of Planet Earth. Yes my friends, Greenland is losing so much ice due to climate warming that the island is shedding mass and therefore, weight. Less ice means less mass and less mass means less gravitational action and so with Greenland weighting less, well, its departure from Planet Earth is inevitable. Probable? Yeah, possibly that one. It seems that the science kids that study ice melt and it's physical loss for some reason forgot to figure in the loss of ice from the Greenland interior SO, turns out that Greenland is losing way, and I do mean way way, more ice than has previously been acknowledged and oh holy crap-o-rama, Planet Earth is in some seriously serious hurt. With the draining of fresh water off of Greenland at some astonishingly significant loss, well, all that fresh water is diluting the ocean's salinity and that bodes not so great for the Southern Hemisphere. Measuring the ice melt that clocks in at 221 billion (yes, billion) tons of ice EVERY YEAR and the loss of ice has been constant since 2003. And so figuring in the part where the science whiz kids were fudging the findings, the update proves that 43 additional tons a year needs to be add to the findings numbers and so ... the recalculated number reveals that Greenland is losing a staggering 30 million tons of ice PER HOUR. So that's about enough with the study numbers and such, with the newly adjusted amounts of fresh water being dumped into the Atlantic Ocean, well, an acronym known as AMOC (Atlantic meridional overturning circulation) is shutting down ocean circulation and if the Atlantic stops circulating, well, the Indian Ocean will stop circulation and then the Pacific Ocean will stop circulating and toss in the Arctic Ocean and the Antarctic Ocean and as is really obvious, no circulation will fuck our Planet up and there really isn't any calculation that can predict what happens after that, Rest assured though, most of what we earthlings know as ocean is highly overrated and nonexistent now and for the foreseeable future. Cheery damn news and so it goes.

Now for Saturday machine art and if anyone is planning a trip to a beach, well, you might want to hurry up. Beach won't be much fun for much longer. Bummer no doubt.

I always thought that growing a sequoia in the house would be earth friendly and really cool. HOWEVER, the wife wouldn't let me keep one in the front room so that was the end of that. dang ... 😏
