Headed for the desert. Deep within the Escalante Desert. A destination that is almost heaven. For me anyway. Rocks and deer and antelope and elk and geothermal stuff and alfalfa and cattle and things you simply never get to see living in an urban setting. There are urban settings in the Mojave and we live in one of those but, deep desert requires some travel and being prepared for ... well ... whatever. We'll be back some days later on. Until then ... be well people and keep a bag packed just in case. In case of ... well ... you know ...

back in the day, we'd get to see herds of antelope. very large herds. we don't get to see the herds like back then. sign of the times I suppose. 😐
