Now You See It So ...

Monday April 8, 2024 is the day for a solar eclipse. If anyone was unaware of the upcoming big deal astronomical event, well, has there been some manner of serious distraction demanding attention to the exclusion of all else? Possibly so. Doesn't matter. What's really important would be that any observer should NOT look at the sun without special Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson approved solar eclipse signature eclipse viewing glasses. Okay Dr. T ... there's your plug so please don't forget about our agreement. Simply put, looking at any solar eclipse unaided can, will, and should damage your eyes and vision in a somewhat permanent basis. Unlike masturbation that causes hair to grow on the palms of your hands, looking directly at a sun in eclipse is some really bad juju and again, don't do it. Did you know that harvesting palm hair growth can cure male pattern baldness? That's today's helpful hint for life in our twenty first century. So if one is planning on "viewing Monday's eclipse", well, be prepared for hellacious traffic jams, price gouging on food, fuel, rooming, pet care, and fashion tips on proper attire for solar eclipse viewing. So get ready for some chaos, fantastic solar event opportunities, AND hope that cloud cover doesn't fuck shit up for reals. Now for Sunday machine art.

on a serious ending note, if one happens to live in the path of the eclipse totality it remains to be a dang good idea to not look at the eclipse. you can however view the eclipse without all the pricey eclipse viewing gear. take a pin and poke a hole in any sheet of paper from any available source then take a second sheet of paper to use as a background and then hold paper with hole up towards the sun and the second sheet of paper behind the first paper and watch the magic of solar eclipse unfold right there where you control the setting and just about everything else eclipse related ... 😎
