Something In The Way ...

 Taylor Swift got to see, up close and personal, how defeat can be snatched from the jaws of victory. Yes, Ms. Swift had a luxury box seat at the Raiders vs Chiefs game on Monday and that would have been Xmas Day and the highly touted Kansas City Chiefs got their asses handed back to them by the Las Vegas Raiders. I can almost hear Howard Cosell shouting loudly from the broadcast booth, "down goes Frazier down goes Frazier..." Frazier was a heavyweight boxer of some renown back in the day ... that and I think Cosell simply enjoyed yelling "down goes Frazier ..." Anyway with Taylor Swift swapping spit and 'other' bodily fluids with Travis Kelce, the Ms. Swift got to see the ugly side of NFL football. The current squeeze of Ms. Swift and that would be Kansas City Chiefs tightend Travis Kelce, came up crappers against the Raiders. Tightend is a position played on offense in football at every level. However neither Kelce nor the seeming almost invincible Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes could find a way, any way possible, to beat the Vegas Raiders. Back in the day the Raiders played their home games in Oakland, California at one of the crummiest football venues in all of the NFL. But the Raiders fans in Oakland were a truly unruly bunch of football fanatics and those unruly fans had their dreams of Oakland greatness shattered by the team's move to Las Vegas. Original Oakland Raiders owner, one Al Davis, was a one of a kind team owner and after Davis kicked the bucket and left the team to his rather odd only son, well, the Raiders bolted from Oakland to the warmer climes of Las Vegas, Nevada. Of course Vegas embraced the Raiders with open arms and one massively expensive football venue and the Raiders "new" venue is unlike anything ever seen in NFL footballdom. Anyway the Chiefs lost, Taylor Swift got to see the loss, the Raiders came out happy as freshly bedded clams, and life moves on like the hands of a rather glitzy clock ticking life away one tick then tock at a time. In time? Whatever ... ??? Now for Wednesday machine art and someone cue the camel.

Howard Cosell was a football announcer back in the day. Cosell announced NFL games with Frank Gifford and Don Meredith. Monday Night Football. NFL football was fun to watch back then. sadly that is not the way NFL games are played these days. 😐 hey I just thought of something almost relevant ... today's hump day will be the last hump day in the year of our lerd 2023. go figure ...
