Maxi-Megadrought...Oh Shit!

The American West, southwest American West to be quite specific here, is suffering the pain of a "maxi-megadrought" and this "maxi-megadrought" is the worst seen by human people in twelve hundred years. Yes count them...1200 years. Now the kicker here would be that back in June 1988, a NASA climatologist name of James Hansen gave testimony before a congressional committee holding hearings on global warming and Mr. Hansen testified warning that our world is at a tipping point and the global warming is positioned to be bad. Really really bad. Worse than bad. Mr. Hansen a distinguished NASA climatologist, was thanked for his expertise and that was the end of it. Congress being politically if not comprehensively retarded, ignored NASA warnings and warnings from scientists of all stripes and persuasion, and now the American Southwest is dryer than a sun bleached bone that's been laying exposed in the Mojave Desert and I've got one to prove the point. Lake Powell is disappearing. Lake Mead is disappearing. The mighty Colorado River is shrinking to a slow crawl and is no longer a mighty Colorado River. Aquifers are pumped dry. California's Central Valley that used to grow most of America's produce is unproductive as of late and what in hell are people supposed to eat? Just think, a diet consisting of beef, chicken, pork, and turkey. That is IF there's any water to give to beef, chicken, pork, and turkey. That's about all there'll be. Oh yeah and I suppose folks could eat duck and/or goose. The ducks and geese aren't going to appreciate that. Mmmm beef cereal for breakfast then chicken fillet for lunch and then pork with stuffed turkey for dinner. Dang that is going to get old so freaking fast...It is more than likely that any relief from water diverted from the mighty Mississippi River is not gonna make any difference whatsoever. Throw in the length of time necessary to construct a diversion project from the Mississippi River and dang it all, the great American West will have dried up and blown east to the seat of American government and in an act of historic karma, Babylon-On-The-Potomac will be buried under about 20 feet of American desert dirt. Now for some Tuesday machine art. Thank some water bottler for bottled water. Available now at Walsmart but not for much longer.

it will be interesting to see how our e pluribus unum holds up when the maxi-megadrought reaches the east coast. 😲
