Beirut Beggars Bank Heist (no banquets involved)

Dateline Beirut, Lebanon. Beirut and all of Lebanon, has been in a financial crisis for a dang long time. At least three years and counting. Possibly Lebanon has been in some manner of crisis as long as I can remember. That is not germane to this Thursday screed. Long story or crisis short, people haven't been able to have access to their personal savings being held in Beirut's banks and probably all of Lebanon. Damn, that has so got to suck. Back to daily headlines out of Beirut, Lebanon - a Lebanese lady along with some "associates" paraded into a Beirut bank and robbed the place to get their money out of savings accounts that Lebanese people haven't had access to for at least three and maybe more than three years. Then later that same day a second Beirut bank was held up by a depositor taking their money out of a Beirut bank by bank robber force. The second bank depositor/robber's gender was not mentioned. Also the same day, some Lebanese guy robbed a bank somewhere outside of Beirut with the exact same robber motif being used by the aforementioned Lebanese depositors/bank robbers. Long story short, it might be wise to steer clear of Lebanon and Beirut, Lebanon for the next while. The Lebanese people are cash short and way passed pissed off at their present plight courtesy of their very own Lebanese government. Now let's serve up Thursday machine art. Runs on American banks are not in the offing. For now anyway.

I suppose the Lebanese authorities can be grateful that the unhappy Lebanese bank depositors are just robbing Lebanese banks and not straight up blowing their banks smooth off the face of our Planet. 😲
