Mr. Franklin was being a wee mite optimistic. So now and a couple hundred years later, America is at one of those civil crossroads. Extreme right wing loonies encouraged by trump are a clear and present danger to our American Democratic Republic. With the January 6, 2021 attempted coup de gras still hanging over the heads of all America, President Biden seems of a mind to finally speak truth to the dummies. About all I can say is...about dang time. American government needs to unleash the full power of law enforcement and intelligence gathering minions to bring an end to this madness before more people get killed. And in less inflammatory words, that's what President Biden stated quite clearly Thursday in a speech given in Philadelphia. President Biden was standing before Independence Hall. That's where Mr. Ben Franklin answered the question put to him by a regular citizen. You know, when Franklin was asked about the manner of government we could expect? I can imagine that Franklin and the remaining Founding Fathers are spinning in the respective graves. America is clearly in a bit of a mess. Now for that ever so American machine art.
