A Tale For Telling

A large low ceilinged room where faces melt into shifting wax, their features running into official seals and tarnished silver plates. Ink stained fingers stretch across mahogany desks dissolving into fluid streams of deep indigo and gold leaf that stain everything touched.

Splatters of dark resign and jagged crimson paint spray violently across a canvas slicing through dark hollow figures clad in unraveling suits and heavy ceremonial robes. Eyes are replaced by polished coins reflecting empty sky and mouths are drawn open in voiceless looping protest.

In the center a solitary figure stands rigid unblemished by surrounding chaos, holding a small fractured beam of white light. The light pierces the haze casting long sharp shadows that cut through the layered drips of acrylic and smeared charcoal anchoring a canvas in absolute clarity amid the surreal decay.
