Trapped And The Toilet Is Clogged ... ?

The Navy aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford brand new and ordered out for sea trials and then deployment to the Caribbean and then to the dreaded Strait of Hormuz, hasn't seen port nor a port the Ford could dock at for fixes, upgrades, toilet remedies, and some downtime for a growing number edgy of sailors. Roughly 4,500 sailors, flight crew, officers, and "authorized personnel non-military" and I've no idea what that means, have been cooped up in this floating clogged cranny for months and there is still no idea when the Ford gets to return to it's home port which I would image is Norfolk, Virginia. Reports are leaking out to non-military news venues reporting alarming incidents of clogged toilets, mold and mildew showers, rank food, claustrophobia amongst the crew, fake orders commanding crew to 'abandon ship," and other reports that are so horrific the Department of Navy has ordered those reports as "classified." The military takes that 'classified' bullshit to an entirely new arena of censorship that borders on the ridiculous to probably illegal but this is the Navy at issue here and god knows American's ain't supposed to talk smack about our gloriously pompously over preening U.S. military. An army of one isn't about to fix the toilet issues aboard the USS Gerald R and considering how many sailors and such are aboard the Ford, well, I'd imagine the stench filling the quarters of the Ford are abysmal. "Shit stink is everywhere" was the quote obtained from one sailor that refused to give his name, rank, and/or serial number and I can imagine there'd be "captain's mast" procedure at the very least were quoted sailor to get revealed. Probably a full blown court martial and that would be harsh and require lashes and possibly being keelhauled. The U.S. Navy still does that on rare occasions. Keelhauling but those incidents are classified. So for now anyway the USS Gerald R Ford is a floating naval mess-o-rama with stink and hygiene issues that will need to be addressed if/and/or/when the Ford ever makes it back to Norfolk. Norfolk, Virginia may be underwater by the time the Ford makes it back to homeport. Yes, Norfolk, Virginia is sinking or maybe it's just the ocean's rising but either way, I'm almost certain the Navy is taking that issue as secondary to when the Ford makes it home. 4,500+ crew being kept under lock and key for months on end without the toilets and showers working sounds like a mutiny waiting to happen ... military service and prison sentences are two not disparate issues. while both have some similarities, one is a consenting service and another is not so consenting ... at least I've been indoctrinated to believe so ... 😐
