It's The Mojave Desert ... Of Course It's Hot

104 degrees Fahrenheit on the old weather porch. You see I keep a modestly small weather station on our porch and at the time of keyboarding up this here screed, it's 104 degrees pretty dang hot and 3% humidity. Dry as a sun bleached cow bone. You see there are ranchers that "graze" their cattle on the Mojave on account of that's some sparse feed and they get those grazing rights from BLM for cheap. Really cheap. So every so often one of those cows will up and cack and there's food for the coyotes, ravens, vultures, raccoons, skunks, and a lizard or two and they all get to eat large for a while anyway. One time the wife and I were cruising up a backroad Utah rural two lane highway (?) and there's a dead cow along the side of the road. Cow laid there and bloated, laid there and started that decomposition process, and in general left a stink that could be whiffed for miles. We kept the car windows rolled up tight so I can only speculate on how far the stench may have spread. Speculation can be a good thing at times and this was one of those times. Sorry I sort of digressed. Anyway the heat is on and by this upcoming weekend the temps will average about 110 degrees Fahrenheit and that's hot. Not so much humidity but still ... hot. Now for Wednesday machine artware and please someone, anyone, cue the camel.

one thing can be said about the Mojave heat, it does give me something to prattle about. I get to leave all the political bullshit alone and focus on actual wording that is relevant. life affirming as well. do stay hydrated ... 😐
