The Last Reasonable Russian

Former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev has died. Mr. Gorbachev was 91. Gorbachev brought the "Soviet Union" to a moderated end. Mr. Gorbachev was also able to sit down with former U.S. President Ronnie RayGun to bring an end to the 'Cold War' and nuclear proliferation. Together, Gorbachev and RayGun were able to sign a number of nuclear nonproliferation treaties. Those treaties were reasonable and equitable to both sides. The U.S. and the Soviet Union. Mr. Gorbachev was awarded a Noble Peace Prize and that all by itself is no mean feat. Gorbachev ended the Soviet Union's occupation of Afghanistan. That little dust up also gave rise to the al-Qaida brand of terrorism. Back in those days, the bad guys fighting the Soviets were known as the 'mujahideen'. Osama bin Ladin cut his teeth fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan. Ain't it about funny how little things change. All those years later. Funny...yeah, really funny. Now for some Wednesday machine art. Bless the camels.
