Seismic Waves Will Move You ... Surf's Up

In 2011 Japan had an earthquake so intense it moved the entire nation of Japan some distance to the east. Yep ... the whole Island nation of Japan moved that much closer to the Japan Trench. That "Trench" is a really deep trench like dealy that if you fell into it ... well ... it's all over. Anyway, the earthquake was of a magnitude 9.0 on the old Richter scale and that is one earth shaking, moving, and tidal wave producing earthquake. Yes there was a tsunami of significant size that killed about 18,000 people. Drowned most likely. So what the deal here is ... the earthquake generated a seismic wave so intense that the wave traveled all the way down to the Earth's core, bounced off our core, and proceeded back up through our creamy nugget center and that shock, bounce, reverb, took 13 minutes for fait accompli and the really scientifically surprising aspect in all of this, that wave moved the entire island nation of Japan six millimeters to the east. Not just part of Japan but the entirety of all the islands and such that make up Japan. Now six millimeters may not sound like much but considering the speed, or lack of speed, the earthquakes, landmasses, island landmasses, and stuffs like that are scientifically remarkable. Seismologists and earth physicists were jizzing all over one another as they studied and reached their seismic conclusions and there was much wiping one another off and celebrating a scientific record that will stand for possibly millennia. I like the geologists and earthquakeologists and the geophysicists and associated study fields of ... they are great fun at parties and will entertain crowds for hours on end retelling tales of earthmoving events and earth shattering warnings and well ... you know, if geology and rock stuff is your thing ... you'll understand completely. I do love me some rocks and volcanos and earthquakes and deep ocean trenches that no one and I do mean NO ONE gets the chance to see what's down there. Anyway, Japan is now closer to the U.S. and the trip won't take as long as before. Because Japan is six millimeters closer to North America. Most of lengthy delays in travel to Japan are the fault of TSA and ICE and Customs and Border Patrol and just some dumbass that finds it funny to fuck with airport security. Which by the way is a not such a very good idea. G-men and G-women have absolutely NO sense of humor. Can't take a joke ... no way. So now it's on to Friday machine art and the next earthquake you feel could be the San Andreas Fault splitting California in just about half. Everyone wave bye bye to L.A. and San Fran and San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach and of course San Diego and Tijuana. Machine art as promised ...

if a magnitude 9.0 earthquake to rock Los Angeles ... say goodbye to Southern California and all those interminable freeways that clog Angelinos roads and nerves ... 😏
