It's Official It's ... Summer!

Sunday June 21. 2026 and today marks the summer solstice and today will mark the closest our earth is tilted toward our sun and numerous fun summery things can commence and ... yippee. Recent societal memes would have people believe that summer begins with Memorial Day. Not so my friends. Summer begins with the summer solstice and after today it's all downhill towards winter solstice and Xmas. You see meteorologically our year is broken up into four distinct meteorologic seasons. Spring starts with the vernal equinox then comes the summer solstice then the autumnal equinox and finally the winter solstice and viola ... year is done. Societally we don't recognize any of that but we should. The summer solstice is when our sun is tilted closest to our sun and the winter solstice marks the exact opposite of that summer tilt. The equinox spring and autumn, happen when earth is exactly half way to either solstice. I'm almost certain that all this makes sense ... maybe. The longest day of the year as regarding actual sunlight and the length of a day happens several weeks after the summer solstice and the same applies in reverse for the winter solstice being the shortest day of a year regarding the least amount of sunlight. Sure sure ... That's a whole lot of scientific prattle and most people pay no mind to either the solstice or the equinox and that is one of the reasons why our human condition leans to the ignorant polemic and does anyone really care and I'll concede that no ... no one cares and the reasons for that lack of care rest solely on the dumbing effect having drained all intelligent curiosity from postmodern humanity. Have a cold hard look at Amerika's current president. Trumpf IS the poster child for being the dumbest dumb ass to have ever frequented the American peoples White House which has recently had the name of our White House legally changed to America's White Trash House. The name change was partly due to those UFC fighters standing on the top of the cage they fight in and peeing in front of the specialized crowd specially selected by Herr trumpf himself. The White Trash House landscaping crew aren't certain how they'll be able to remove the pee stains from the south lawn of the White Trash House and it wasn't just the fighters that were peeing on the south lawn ... was it Sec/War Heggy ... Anyway now that summer is officially here America can turn its attention to dealing with all the wildfires that are breaking out all over the American West and probably elsewhere as well. We've got several wildfires burning out of control just about a good spit's distance from our stretch of the Mojave Desert. The smoke on some days will get the horses to choke, well, and the people too. Now we'll switch over to Sunday machine art. Remember to drink lots of water, you'll want to stay hydrated.
