Yes friends, we've been at this "experiment in democracy" for two hundred forty eight years and we just might make it to an even two hundred and fifty. Maybe. That 250 year goal is largely dependent on election cycle 2024. Yeah this year's presidential election will be one for the books. The history books. Biden v trump and every indication would suggest that is exactly who will show up on November ballots. Yippee freaking skippy. So today is Independence Day and to prove your "patriotic bona fides" you'll want to get on out there and blow some innocent shit up with firecrackers, fireworks of an assortment of blasting choices, and the ever popular sparklers. There will be fireworks display in just about every city and town across this 'land of the brave' and there you go. For the moment, Americans are indeed "free to celebrate" the holiday in a good old fashioned American way. Barbecue, beer, baseball or soccer if that's your thing, and then home style explosives. Yee ... haw. Now for Thursday and 4th of July machined artware and be sure to count your fingers when finito with the fireworks.

I don't bother with fireworks and stuff like there that. nope. I've mostly grown out of that gunpowder fueled extravaganza. more than likely I'll be in bed by time of lift off for the explosives. luckily for me and mine, we don't live in a war zone. for now anyway. 😐
