Hump Daze

 Dear Friends:

I generally write postings for the skulzwerks late afternoon day before I post. I've found it much easier to write while I'm semi-lucid rather than trying to keyboard some crappy assed fog induced screed early in a day. Makes sense to me anyway. So on this fine day which at the time of this keyboard assault is Wednesday late afternoon and we had us a high old time earlier today (yesterday which it will be when I post up) as we went to the Mojave Holy Land and that would be Valley of Fire. Spectacular sunrise with brilliant reds and early morning blue with grey clouds changing shape and color and dang what a fine earthy display from Mother Earth. Where the wife and I plus Emme our dog were at and there were burro tracks just about everywhere. Big Horn Sheep flop freshly dropped. And then ... and then ... the clouds thickened up and wind picked up and our dog got a mite suspicious and sure enough here came the lightning with rain drops of considerable size. Time to go and reasons enough being ... don't tempt the desert Fates when the raindrops start falling from the clouds. Flash flooding in the Mojave is normal for this time of year and ... well ... just about anytime. Raining means it's time to get up and gone which we did. The rain timed out just right as we'd had us a fine time wandering around and the peace and tranquility found at the Valley of Fire is exquisite. The rain however means ... time's up.  Oh yes and we didn't see any burros or big horns but they'd certainly been there. Now for Thursday machine art.
