Move To Italy ... Eat Pasta ...

I read a news blurb on one of the media streams I follow that insisted I could move to Italy, get a 50% off deal on rent, buy a home in Italy for cheap, and Italy will welcome you and your posse. Hmmm ... thinks I ... Italy ... worth considering ... seriously. Italy is probably a very nice place to live. Scenic, trendy, plenty of good food, AND people like George Clooney and his attorney squeeze live there. Or own an "estate" anyway. I think Clooney's squeeze is Italian but that's just me assuming crap that I'd read online a while back and you can always (?) trust crap you read online. Maybe Clooney's squeeze is named Amal like the 'night visitor' made famous by a christmas dirge or some such. Its Clooneys so not any manner of big deal. Anyway, a move to Italy would be no minor affair. You'll need to pack up all your shit and settle accounts and get a passport from Big Brother then get up to speed on all your inoculations, bank accounts prepared to transfer to some unknown Italian banking dealie and holy crap-o-la ... there is probably no way in hell you'd be able to get all your affairs squared around in any sort of short order. Could take a while longer than seemed acceptable in the beginning. So ... as cool as moving to Italy sounds ... an actually move is not about to happen. Not in this life anyway. Then there is the problematic issue of language as I'm fairly certain that in Italy, the language of everyday is Italian and I'm not about to even get into that. I can barely speak some Spanish and that's mostly rude and vulgar Spanish terms that pick up easily. So it's in the Mojave for the remainder of this existence and ... given the weather we've been having of late ... there is no way in hell I'm about to give that up. Now for Sunday machine art.

did you know that it has rained so much in the western Mojave and that would be Death Valley, with so much rain having rained down, a lake that is and has been for a very long time a dry lake bed is now a rather wet and filled with water lake bed. go figure ... 😏
