Military.com ... ?

A quite interesting and surprisingly apt article about Rob Reiner is posted on a website name of 'Military.com' and it seems that the website is more than likely a DoW publication (department of war). A copyright of "2025 Military Advantage" is how the website gets associated with U.S. military. Seems good enough for me. I think the site is to put a community friendly face on things military and there are any number of boomer generation menfolk that still to this day view any and all things military with suspicion and a distinctly bad taste resurrects upon association. HOWEVER ... and I had never given much thought to Rob Reiner the movie director as being hailed by U.S. military. Mr. Reiner is well spoken of by U.S. military and the article posted on the website makes no apologies about their view of Mr. Reiner. Rob Reiner has quite the movie pedigree and he was responsible for some of America's finest moves ever made. Military.com lists some of the best work to have been made by Mr. Reiner and here's a list provided by Military.com -

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

Stand By Me (1986)

The Princess Bride (1987)

When Harry Met Sally (1989)

Misery (1990)

A Few Good Men (1992)

Damn fine cinematic works of the genius that was Rob Reiner. I've seen every one of his films and I watched Reiner back in the days of 'All In The Family'. His movies are a running commentary on cinematic America and The Princess Bride is still one of Reiner's best. That's just my opinion. I did not care for Misery. Kathy Bates in the role of Misery left me creeped out and affected every last date I ever had with a woman wanting to have me come home with her. Spooky no doubt. Then there's A Few Good Men. Jack Nicholson nails a Marine Corp Colonel spot on. I've known several full bird colonels during my life and Nicholson's portrayal is commentary that stands alone. Possibly and this could be the reason that Military.com spells it out with a damn fine article that capsules Rob Reiner's life and work. Writing for Military.com is a gentleman name of Ryan Thomas LaBee and he's done an outstanding job shedding informative light on a prolific artist like Mr. Rob Reiner. Well done sir. Now for Wednesday and krisz...mus eve machine art. Please could someone cue the camel and give the reindeer a head's up. Back to work boys.

I really never thought to check out the Military.com webby previously. I'll have to do some more reading to arrive at a fair conclusion. that's taking into account America's current secretary of war and that'd be the petey hogsith chump and renowned booze hound. I really don't care for the idea that someone running the DoD as the military should be referred to, being a blackout drunk. seems like some really bad juju there boy ... 😐
