890 Promising Students ... However

 Brown University in Rhode Island, recovering from a deadly shooting spree that killed two Brown students, has release a press blurb that states 890 students that will be the graduating class of 2030 are accepted into BU and good on the students. Brown University is one of Americas finest universities and is part and parcel of the 'Ivy League' branch of American colleges and universities. Brown consistently ranks in the top twenty universities globally and that's nothing to sneeze at. Anyway, Brown University waited two whole days to release the news about their new students being accepted. Yep. Two whole days. Here's the Brown University header for the announcement -

What the Brown University did NOT inform their newest students to be, there will be a new requirement to be eligible for attendance at Brown ... current students and students to be will be required to come to campus equipped with and wearing police academy grade body armor. Carrying a concealed weapon permit is still as for the foreseeable future restricted to campus security team members, tenured professors, assistant professors, as well as student teachers. Can't really blame Brown University for their new requirement ... dang lunatics are crawling out the woodwork and who knows when the next deranged asshole will decide to go all 'Rambo' on some campus somewhere in our trigger happy America. And for emphasis and as courtesy to the NRA ... guns do not kill people or students ... bullets fired from guns do the killing. Thank you for your attention with this matter. Sure sure and I can admit this might seem a mite insensitive of me. Now the world can know with certainty that I am one really insensitive and militant old fucker and ain't not about much can be done about that now. Back in the Cold War days we students in school were taught to 'duck and cover' should the rooskies decide to gin up a nuclear exchange with the United States.
