A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck northern California on Thursday and almost before the shaking subsided, people were asking, "is this the big one?" You see just about all of California has been waiting on a really I mean really really big San Andreas earthquake for about as long as I can remember. California will still be waiting for the foreseeable future. A 7.0 magnitude earthquake is a dang big earthquake, however this big earthquake isn't the one. The quake happened offshore and it did raise tsunami warnings but mostly any tsunami was a no show. So no big deal ... right. I can imagine that even with the earthquake happening offshore, California still felt the shaking. No doubt. So with the shaking mostly over for now, it's time for Friday machine art.

had a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Japan, half the island nation would be underwater right now and the remainder of Japan would be crushed under the weight of debris. a 7.0 magnitude earthquake is a significantly large shaker. 😐
