That's Just Nuts

 Black Friday on the North Shore Oahu, Hawaii. The big waves are rolling in and ... the surfers that are inclined to risk life and limb for some cheap thrills are catching the monster surf and hanging on for dear life. You don't get to see too much hang ten. Nope. I enjoy watching big wave surfing. Way back in the day I gave surfing a try. Surfing is NOT as easy as it looks while watching from on shore. I did manage to get the hang of body surfing but grab a board and you're sitting on top of the world? Hardly. Grab a board and have an up close and personal encounter with the ocean's bottom. Face full of sand, nose filled with ocean water which is not very potable, and the relief from being able to finally catch your breath. However, I do enjoy the Pacific Ocean and I do enjoy watching the professional surfers riding the gigantic swells that occur at the North Shore Oahu. It's an ocean event that happens at just about all of Hawaii's north facing shores. That being said, North Shore Oahu receives the lions share of the big surf. Imagine if you might being on the ocean laying flat on a surfboard and then the ocean begins to rise and keeps on rising and pretty darn soon you'll be staring straight up at what must appear as some manner of ocean monster that is hellbent on slamming your silly ass hard onto the ocean floor. Thanks guys and gals for one impressive surfing display. I'll wait patiently on the beach and watch the show on my computer. I'm way too old for anything absolutely insane as surfing really really impressively real big surf. This big wave surfing was on Black Friday. Go figure. Now for Sunday machine art and remember to flip off any klanvangelical christian you might encounter while out and about on a Sunday.

while on the subject of North Shore Oahu and Hawaii in general, Hawaii should be returned to Native Hawaiians and all the gosh darn Disney crap removed and sent back to the mainland. someday ... maybe.😐
