Sauce for the goosed should be sauce for the gandered. That's how it works in theory. In practice, not so much. My case in point - back about 20 years ago America's sitting president, George W. Bush, cranked up a war of naked aggression on the sovereign nation of Iraq. Unwarranted, undeserved, wholly illegal, and a damnable war crime. The then-Bush regime insisted that Iraq held weapons of mass destruction and therefore it became necessary to wage war on Iraq and reduce the nation of Iraq to rubble. The entire Bush regime was complicit in the illegal war of naked aggression on Iraq. Bush, the defacto president Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcraft, Rice, Yoo, and so many perpetrators of this heinous war crime that time and space prove restrictive. The Internation Criminal Court at the Hague REFUSED to issue arrest warrants for the Bush regime, so the bloody bastards were never brought to face indictment. Poor form on the part of the ICC. Friday, March 17, 2023, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin the sitting President of Russia, on account of Putin's war of naked aggression on Ukraine. No argument is needed to justify Putin's arrest warrant. So if Putin is deserving of an ICC arrest warrant then sure as hell one is demanded to be served on Bush, Cheney, et al and right on down the Bush regime chain of command. to continue my grind, I wrote a damn fine amicus brief (amicus curiae brief) and sent it off to the ICC outlining the steps to bring the Bush war criminals to dock. the idiot ICC REFUSED to take any action whatsoever. now we all know why the Middle East is such a fucked up mess at present. 😡
