2,300 Miles ... Walking

More than one hundred Buddhist Monks walked from Texas to Washington, D.C., or Babylon-On-Potomac as I prefer to address "the swamp." The Monks started their walk 19 months ago. Yep these bold souls have been walking for more than 19 months so that would include two winters, at least, and probably some damn inclement weather along with some weather that is the finest of anywhere on our planet. Walked for 19 months ... for peace ... go figure. The Buddhist Monks rarely talk the talk but they certainly do walk, literally, the walk. An axis bold as love. Buddhist love. For any number of ailment reasons I wouldn't be able to walk like that. At the beginning of the Monk's journey, in Texas no less, the entourage encountered Texas truck drivers and one of those intrepid Texans hit a flag car driving in front of the Monks and injured several of the Monks of which one Monk lost a leg. Had to be amputated due to the truck/auto incident. Now that sounds exactly like Texas. Anyway the Monk that lost a leg caught up with his brothers and finished the walk to Babylon in a wheelchair. Bold as bold can be. Axis bold as love and this is a powerpoint presentation of exactly what Jimi Hendrix sang about. For nineteen months and a rescue dog from India named Aloka, the Monks walk for peace was a "self-described spiritual journey across nine states and the Monks were cheered on by real Americans that marveled at the tenacity of spiritually aware beings and sheer determination to finish what they had started almost two years earlier. American crowds cheered the Monks on everywhere the Monks walked. No bullshit politics, no footbowl, no basketbowl, no trumpf, no ICE Gestapo harassment and murder, just one foot in front of another foot and 2,300 miles later on ... fait accompli. Amazing. Spectacularly awesome. You can bet there'll be a movie based on their expedition. I've grabbed a screenshot of the Monks arriving at the Lincoln Memorial and that shot is right about now -

Most of the Monks walked the entire 2,300 miles barefoot. Through rain, snow, sleet, mud, screaming hot pavement, and some stuff that is best left never spoken about. Nine states and not even the best of what America has to offer. Texas comes to mind right off. I've been to Texas on numerous occasions and most of Texas is welcoming and the people were pleasant enough with an ugly exception that is the Dallas/Fort Worth mega mess. Best to avoid all of that part of Texas. Sucks on an industrial scale level of suckage. I think that what these Buddhist Monks have shown America is that ... things seem bad and that's all a matter of perspective. Even with trumpf tossed ever so rudely into the mix. Trumpf, AGBondi, trumpf's entire lot of treasonous buffoons, they shall pass. All things shall pass. Take a walk of any distance and consider what those Monks have proven. Peace and the path to peace is simply a walk away. Distance is irrelevant. Now for Friday the 13th digital art. Blessings on those Buddhist Monks no doubt.
