Evidently the good old United States of America is without a functional and functioning government. Golly...how could anyone tell? The politics seems to be about per usual. Still gots to pay those taxes. Still gots to pay those speeding tickets. Well and that is IF you happen to be speeding and get yourself nabbed by one of those 'sneaky Petes' hiding behind a highway billboard. Of course and these day the police simply stand by the side of any road and use their high-techy laser fueled radar guns. "But Officer, I was late for my stylist appointment...." All that being stated, official Washington is at a standstill and it's more than a mite amusing to watch Congress eat its own. Former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has got to feel moderately vindicated as Jim 'the rassler' Jordan was unable to win the Speaker gavel. Yes the 'grand old party' has come unglued and without any means of future leadership, well, not much is going to happen in the House. The Senate doesn't do much on any given day. The really old Senate guys are generally out to lunch or napping while waiting on a "speaker" to come to the Senate well. The Senate well is where the high priests of abject bullshit go to render their verdicts on ... bullshit. At times there is a modicum of entertainment and that happens when Mitch McConnell forgets where he is and what he is about to do and simply freezes and stands stark staring still and then one of his "Senate colleagues" will check to see if old Mitch is still breathing. Oh damn, there's some funny moments in the U.S. Senate. Did you know that Republican Senator from Utah, Mittens Romney, is going to run for president with Oprah Winfrey as his running mate? Yup it's true. Campaign 2024 ought to be about one screaming riot. With any luck at all and IF there is any justice left in America, trump will be in prison. Heck, America should have at least a semblance of hope. Now for sabbath machine art.
