A classic line from one of my favorite movies of all time. You see "Gort" is one bad ass robot that is an ominous galactic space cop. Go figure right? Anyway Michael Rennie who plays Klaatu the visiting space alien gets shot by trigger happy American army guy, gosh is that a surprise, and Gort the robot space cop gets destructo with the surrounding military and the movie gets off to a ray gun start. The remake with what's his name the John Wick guy, isn't so bad either. In the remake of the 'Day The Earth Stood Still' movie, Gort is really cool and dissolves into an apocalyptic bug swarm that can eat ANYTHING! People, trucks, containment labs, parks, and several asshole government types. Great movie and both the movies are first rate. That's what passes for movie criticism from moi. Now for Thursday machine art. A.I. but no robotic cops.

sometimes remakes aren't so bad. however, the original is more often hard to top. movie critique by myself. 😏
