It's true. Valentines Day is a week away from tomorrow. Gosh that sounds almost like science fiction. Wait, Valentines Day most certainly is science fiction. Hallmark and card creators across this here Amerika turn huuuuge profits off of gullible and love struck suckers and that IS the real reason why Amerika celebrates the martyrdom of some obscure Catholic saint. And yes, the day is honored as "holiday" for St. Valentine who got his fool head chopped off or burned at a stake or some other form of social sport that was popular way back when. Possibly the guy was brutalized by heathen. The martyrdom happened so long ago no one and not even Pope Francis knows the whys and wherefores of how the poor fool got himself cacked. However and in the meanwhile, we've got us a Super Bowl of football on tap for tomorrow and that might distract lovers both young and old for at least a partial moment in time. Or not. Will you be buying the winners of the Super Bowl of football a Valentines Day card? Collecting on a bet from your local bookie? Hiding from you local bookie for failing to pay up after loosing a bet? Damn, it seems to be one darn crisis after another darn crisis. Amerika is THE land of crisis and always has been. Amerika was born out of crisis.
