In The Beginning ... The Begats

Way back in the day and on the heels of Brigham Young settling the "land of Zion," there was William Madison Wall. Family patriarch and wandering eye for the mormon womens. Wills had five yes five wives. These days that would probably and more than likely be frowned upon. But ... that was then and this is ... well, you know. So Wills begat John Clayborn Wall who was just trying to get along and not make any untoward waves. Clayborn begat John L Wall and John L besides being more than likely patriarch of Wallsburg, Utah ... also lived in Magna, Utah and family oral history has been told that John L knew Joe Hill and worked the mines of Kennecott Utah Copper up until there was some "union" strife and John L no longer worked for Kennecott Utah Copper and spent his remaining work days as church hand for Mormon Church Magna. I was a young boy and got to meet John L and he was a tall lanky hilariously funny great grandfather and I took a real shine to John L and was saddened to learn that John L had died fishing up at Moon Lake which is located in the Uintah Mountains ... Utah. Anyway, John L Wall begat Nina Wall who was born in Wallsburg, Utah ... go figure ... and Nina begat my old man Bud. Or Buddy. Or there were several other names I sort of remember from my way younger days and are hardly relevant to this here sort of biographic line of bullshit. So Nina begat Bud and Bud begat ... me. That's it ... that's about all I can know for certain so yes indeed I've got me some serious mormon creds. All the way back to William Madison who at the times of his life worked for Brigham Young mormon profit and "visionary." William Madison was vital in the establishment of Provo, Utah and actually aided in the building of the road up to Heber, Utah through Provo Canyon. Great great great grandfather Willie Madison is buried in the Provo City Cemetery, Utah along with four or five (?) of his wives. Oh yes and Willie Madison established Wallsburg, Utah and that's about all I can know for now other than ... I'm not certain where Wills middle name is from but, Madison seems a pretty dang cool moniker to be quite certain. My entire point is thus ... somewhere along the line from Willie Madison down to his great great granddaughter Nina, there was a break in the mormon line of succession and my end of the family tree turned out to be really really NOT mormon and my old man Bud was known to have knocked out mormon ward teachers that had evidently gave my mom some mormon grief and the old man did not take kindly to mormons giving my mom some grief and the old man laid in wait for the dummies to return to our house and the story goes that 'Bud' beat dog crap out of the mormon ward teachers and that is as is said ... that. So there you have some historia familiar and as for why any of this ... I really don't have a good answer for that ... however it just seemed for some reason the time was right for some personal disclosure. Now for Saturday machine art.

I have it on some very reliable and seriously serious authority that the family ancestry goes all the way back to the joseph smith family in Palmyra, New York and an ancestor by name of Addison or some name close to that. I had a history research professor from Brigham Young University Provo, Utah sent me a letter some years back asking me if I had any family history documents relating to this Addison guy that knew the smith family way way back in the day. I didn't have a thing, did not know a thing about family history other than scant family oratory and couldn't help the lady not at all. that did spark my curiosity to say the least. 😏
