How High's The Water Mama

the city of Venice, and that would be Italy and not California, built a wham-spiffy block out the water thing to keep the water out of Venice. Did you know there is a Venice in California? It's in Los Angeles. On the beach to be quite specific and I've been there. Venice, California and NOT Venice, Italy. irrelevant and I admit that. anyway, the Venetians spent $8 billion dollars on this wham-spiffy dam/barricade/sponge-iferous/blocky thing to keep water out of Venice and the damn dam thingy does NOT work. You see when the Venetians had this MOSE thingy (that's what the Venetians call this modern marvel - MOSE) they figured that gizmo would keep them all safe and dry and allow for tourists to keep coming to Venice. well, Venice? you've got a problem. you see they spent $8 billion dollars on the wonderwerk and forgot to get some IT people that know what the fuck they're doing. the IT people hired by the city of Venice didn't program the machine to follow actual water rising rates and instead, the brainiacs programmed their machine to raise and/or lower according to computer models that model weather. dang if that isn't about one brilliant plan or what. according to the Venetian guy that decides when and if to raise their water blocky thing, "we might have to rethink how and when to elevate our protective device." guy's name is Guido or Rocky or some Italian moniker like that there. Anyway, $8 billion dollars of Venetian money is washed out to sea on a rising tide of public sentiment which was flowing somewhere close to the incendiary level. $8 billion dollars spent on don't work so good. This tale of ineptitude almost sounds amerikan. as in trump amerikan. it is entirely possible that the trump enterprises inc. had a hand in this freaking mess. and yes, Venice is one soggy mess on this fine Hump Day morning. I'll bet you thought I'd forgot about today being Wednesday. yeah... go figure. rainy flooding and a Hump Day...damn things don't get no better than that. on a personal level, I find the Venetian fuck up absolutely hilarious. climate change kids and people all around our increasingly soggy water world are STILL not paying attention to the facts and in this case the water flooding Venice. their protective gear doesn't. protect. HAH! and on to experimental machine art and stuff.

the cold hard surrealistic fact -

WHAT DAY IS IT? It's Hump Day!!!
