come the first days of summer and the flowers and trees appear healthy and vital. flowers stand tall and bright while the trees whisper softly at night. flowers make love with the bees and the trees offer comfort and home to birds and nestlings. summer wears on and heat grinds living things to a worn frazzle. awww, all that is almost poetic. or not.
