3rd State of Being ...

 Between life and death, there is a third state of being. You might wonder, being late? Being annoying? Being terminally verbose? Being pedantic? Being rude? Being there? I like that state and since it was a Peter Sellers movie and quite possibly one of his last movies ... that state is in there because I am still to this day a big fan of Mr Sellers the man and his works. Between life and death is the state we live in at present. The entire Planet Earth is caught in the horrific fever dreams of one orange adolf pedofuhrer donorrhea trumpf. Yep the fucknut has so thoroughly screwed up just about anything his shadow falls on, well, what or how, could things be any more screwed up than those things are right at present? It is most certainly possible that trumpf might nuke Tehran to teach those rascally Iranians a lesson they won't soon forget. Trumpf nukes anywhere Iran and the end of Planet Earth we all have known and care about greatly will most certainly be over. Trumpf launches and then Putin will launch nukes on Ukraine. Pakistan will nuke Afghanistan and then India. India will respond in kind and nuke Pakistan and then Bangladesh. The Brits will nuke Argentina and then France. France will nuke London and then Algeria. South Africa will nuke the Netherlands and then Angola. So then and just when everyone thought Ukraine had turned their nukes over to the IAEA, well guess what, Ukraine has kept a rather impressive nuclear arsenal in a closely guarded closet and sure as a morning sunrise, should Russia nuke Ukraine, it will be bye bye Putin and Moscow. Ireland will nuke Northern Ireland and then the UK. Scotland will follow suit and nuke the UK just for sport. Norway will nuke Denmark, Denmark will nuke Sweden. The Maldives will nuke Australia and then Australia will nuke anyone left standing after all the nuclear smoke clears. That might take some ten to twenty thousand years on account of that nuclear half-life dealy. So good news everybody, that third state of being between life and death will be an entirely new paradigm for our once vibrant Planet and so it goes. Bummer no doubt. Now for Sunday machine art.

The Cotillion's Shadows

The music didn't arrive on strings or brass. It seeped up through the floorboards a rhythm made of settling dust, the memory of old waltzes trapped in the parquet, and the collective rebellious hum of a thousand things that usually have to remain quiet.   This was the hour when the physics of the daytime world grew lazy. Under the painted banner reading L'OMBRE COTILLION, the guests arrived not by carriage but by detaching themselves. They peeled away from the sleeping forms of bankers, debutantes, and tired scullery maids upstairs, slipping under door cracks like spilled ink. Tonight they were not secondary.
