Fires, Floods, And Betelgeuse

British Columbia is burning. To be specific, most of Canada is burning. Ordinarily you wouldn't expect Canada to be a hot bed of forest fire. Well, a fair part of forest Canada is burning. As a counterpoint to a burning Canada, the American northeast is flooding. Vermont is drenched. New York has received about 8 inches of rain and that was in about 6 hours. There wasn't much news about flooding in New Hampshire or Connecticut or Massachusetts or Rhode Island or Long Island and I've probably missed one of those northeastern states. Oh wait...Maine? Maine would be one of those northeastern states but and however, I've not read about flooding in Maine. Now for the big banging windup...the red dwarf giant seen in the constellation Orion and that would be Betelgeuse, is flirting with going super nova. Super nova happens when a red dwarf star does the old explodo and ergo... SUPER NOVA!!! Space scientists are of the opinion that Betelgeuse is about to blow. However that notion is not shared among the space brainiac elite. Seems that these days there isn't consensus on just about any dang topic. Pity...

Now for Tuesday machine art.

should Betelgeuse go nova...that would be something to watch in those evening hours when the constellation Orion is visible in the northern hemisphere. the constellation isn't always visible here in the north. 😏
