A match made in the bowels of Mother Earth. Mexico City and Popocatepetl the volcano. Love at first eruption. You see, the Popocatepetl volcano has commenced erupting again and is neighbors with Mexico City. Unfortunately for Mexico City, the Mexicans don't bother sacrificing virgins or anyone else to the volcano so, blow it will. And did of course. Mexico City had to close its airport because of all the volcanic ash that filled the airspace in and around the city. On a mostly unrelated note, the USGS declared that America doesn't have to worry about the Yellowstone Super Volcano erupting anytime in the near future. "However..." is precisely how the USGS qualified what they'd stated about the Yellowstone Super Volcano. I'm unsure why the USGS felt a need to calm nervous people about any Yellowstone eruption. Curious to be cautiously curious no doubt. Mexico City is on 'alert' for any super eruption of Popocatepetl and quite possibly the USGS is on 'stand by' for a Yellowstone eruption. We'll just have to wait and see how the volcanos do their thing. Now for Monday machine art.

with the American people on the edge of a comprehensive nervous breakdown, maybe the USGS is simply trying to not add fuel to a twitchy gun-happy populace. 😐
