A Week Of Solemn Remembrance

 Hold on to your butts people and here we go. Next Saturday is the twentieth anniversary of September 11, 2001. A day that changed everything. Or so we've been told over and over and it's almost like the phrase "the day that changed everything" has taken on the status of mythic. What seems to get lost in all the retelling, is that George W. Bush allowed all the damn Saudis living here in America to fly away safely and not have to worry about being hijacked and flown into a building somewhere. Lost is the fact that Dark Cheney "authorized" the downing of United Airlines Flight 93 over Pennsylvania with a missile shot. The myth that "passengers engaged the terrorists and brought the airliner down" is bullshit and yet now consider as 'holy writ'. The tales of 9/11/01 just get better with each and every telling. This upcoming week will be filled with more fictional crap-o-la than you can shake a Gary Sinise at. Lieutenant Dan will be front and center spouting gibberish, nonsense, and ultra-conservative spin to reinforce the whitewash. NOTICE -( I had to make a necessary correction to the original sentence. Its Lieutenant Dan and not Cap'n Dan. My bad and correction made at 16:00 hours M.D.T. Damn if'n that wasn't about stupid or what...) So keep your arms and legs inside this weeks ride and get ready to be dazed and confused. Dazzled, razzled, and mystified beyond the compression for a normal if not sane citizenry. I mean the America has already bought into all the 9/11/01 bullshit so, a little more spectacular bullshit won't hurt a bit. Won't help the understanding of exactly what the fuck happened on that September morning but it might not hurt. Not too much anyway. This upcoming celebratory week shall surely be worth the watching just to see how much further twisting is necessary to bring 'sainthood' to all the deserving individuals that worked ever so hard to make 9/11/01 happen. The blood of 2,996 innocent souls incinerated on that fateful day. A further 25,000 nonfatal injuries sustained. It is curious that the number of those injured on that ugly damn day would round off so neatly. But that's what passes as fact. Fact is, 9/11/01 started America's twenty year run in the Afghanisnam. Fact is, 9/11/01 started the destruction of Iraq. Fact is, Syria went ass-up insane and staged one brutally bloody civil war for emphases. Lebanon was dragged, kicking and screaming, into the insanity just for laughs. Yeah so there's much to "celebrate" this week. Get yourself a ringside seat in front of your television, put on your earbuds, ready a bowl of popcorn and enjoy. (?) You are about to witness hubris on full televised display. A Week's Long Run Up

 Yes my friends, the anniversary of September 11, 2001 is exactly one week away. So America has an entire week to celebrate the mythos that is 9/11/01. The major television concerns are planning made for television movies, 9/11 themed concerts, analysis, and all around good times. There will be loads of fireworks and not necessarily the exploding kind. President Biden has ordered the Department of Justice to release all the FBI files on the FBI's investigations into the how's and why's surrounding 9/11. You won't be able to make very much out of highly redacted FBI reports. George W. Bush is planning to lay low and keep out of sight. Dark Cheney has been living that way for a long time. Donny 'Dr. Death' Rumsfeld is dead. Former Attorney General John Ashcroft is MIA and no cares. So an overwhelming number of American war criminals walk our Planet perfectly comfortable with the fact they got away with war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, and high crimes and misdemeanors. You see America NEVER prosecutes American war criminals and especially not war criminals that held the highest elected offices there are to get elected too. America for the most part, lives an idyllic fantasy life and wears rose colored blinders to avoid having to see the horror that America creates. Most recent horror would be the bug out of Afghanisnam and the fall of Kabul to the Taliban. Tuck tail and run like the wind. Okay and so with festivities set to begin tomorrow, for today we'll turn our attention to...machine art!

That Long Labor Day Weekend

 And therefore summer is over. Labor Day signals the unofficial beginning of fall 2021. I'm not certain as to who, or should that read whom, decided that fall begins on Labor Day. Doesn't really matter all that much. Fall's beginning on Labor Day or the official beginning of fall and that would be the Autumnal Equinox. An equinox happens when our sun is directly over the equator and that is dependent on the north/south tilt of our Earth. So once in the spring and then once in the fall. We're coming up on the fall equinox and that happens days after Labor Day. Just to be specific on the notion. Labor Day was originally invented to celebrate America's working people. You know like coal miners and steel workers and auto workers and workers like that there. The invention of Labor Day had more to do with the political power of unions that anything to do with actual working folk. These days, the Labor Day holiday signals the start of the Christmas holiday shopping season. Of course there is that Halloween holiday shopping crap and then the Thanksgiving Day shopping crap and there you go. So if one happens to live in a part of the America that isn't suffering the ill effects of wildfire and it's accompanying smoke or hurricane damage like the Gulf Coast and then the hurricane damage running up the eastern seaboard, well go out and have yourself a really good time. So with summer being over there's no more 'dancing in the streets'. Just to be specific here. So now, let's shuffle off to the machine art segment of today's holiday weekend edition.

a very long time ago and back when I practiced the hunting and killing scenario, I encountered a Coyote a way out in the wilds of Brown's Park. The Coyote was being harassed by a couple of nimrods that were taking great delight in shooting at the Coyote. The nimrods weren't very good shots and they missed the Coyote. Coyote ran up to me and stopped a few yards shy of where I was sitting on a hillside and Coyote asked me, "why do humans kill us?" I didn't have a good answer to the Coyote's question and just sat there stunned. Coyote ran off and down the hillside to get away from the nimrods and from myself that did not have even the semblance of an answer to Coyote's question. So having time to consider being spoken to by a Coyote and considering the disgust I held for the nimrods shooting at the Coyote, I decided it might be time to give up hunting. Which I did and haven't since. Curious no doubt. 😮

28 Days To Go

 There are 28 days left to go in September 2021. Yup. That's all we've left us. Of course there will be the spectacular and once in a lifetime 20th anniversary celebration of 9/11/01. There's big plans in store for the 20th anniversary. Yup. Flag waving and patriotic renditions of the 'pledge of allegiance' and bells ringing and military jet fly overs and speeches and wow-zers, a grand time is guaranteed for all. There's even a special made-for-television movie to get aired on 9/11/01 eve and starring Dan Sinese, Britney Spears, Commodore Cutbait Algire, PBS's Judy Woodruff, and a cast of at least one somebody that cares. All that bother to "celebrate" 9/11/01 go figure. America can, in the very least, celebrate that Afghanistan withdrawal. Only took a couple weeks shy of twenty years but, we is outta there. Yup. So and possibly, this could be the end of American interventions whenever an intervention is called for. Possibly and yup. Just think, twenty years of blasting the bejesus out of Afghanistan. The Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam proxy war didn't take that long to "withdraw" from. However, Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam are STILL cleaning up the munitions left scattered all over their countrysides and it's been more than twenty years since America "withdrew" from that freaking war criminal action. It might not take Afghanistan more than several lifetimes to recover from the Soviets blasting the Afghan countryside and then the Americans blasting their countryside. So and one more time the Afghan people get to deal with the Taliban and it could be worse, the Cambodians had to deal with the Khmer Rouge and that was one damn nasty turn of events. Not even Nixon saw that coming. You see a way back then Nixon had Henry Kissinger playing 'Rasputin' and acting as the real "secret American government." Damn nasty turn of events no doubt. So as the sun also rises on this here second day of September we can all be grateful for one dang thing or another. I'm grateful that Utah rarely if ever gets a hurricane. I'm grateful for the wildfire smoke being not quite as bad as it was yesterday. I'm grateful for being able to get the Covid vaccine as soon as the vaccine became available. And I'm grateful for the machine art. Yeah you had to know that was coming. Machine art it is then...

Won't Be Much Longer Now

 It won't be much longer. The fall season is knocking at the door so open your doors wide and welcome the autumn. Well and IF you can open your doors and not get your house filled with wildfire smoke. So now and at least out here in the great American West, we have a new set of different seasons. There's spring that's followed by really warm spring and that gets followed by summer which is followed by hot summer and then the smoky damn really hot summer and then smoky autumn that gets followed by dead autumn and then that gets followed by winter that gets followed by inversion winter and then the cycle begins all over again. Yes we're living in 'life elevated' alright. So and anyway, welcome September and here's hoping everyone has an autumn without the goddamn Covid-19 the Delta Variant or that new goddamn Covid-19 variant, South African C.1.2.0. what-the-fuck-ever. According to reports which may or may not be accurate, this new South African variant C.1.2.0. what-the-fuck-ever is one nasty ass killer virus and the medical name namers should probably just call the South African variant Cyrus. Get it? Cyrus the virus? You know from that stupid Nicolas Cage movie? Well the movie might not be so stupid but Nicolas Cage sure as hell is. Oh sorry, I digress. Last Day Of Augustus

 August the month is over for all intents and purposes. Augustus was some Roman Caesar guy. I added the 'us' to 'August' to spiff it up a bit. Pretty spiffy...no? So America is done with Afghanistan. There was a four star general on the television yesterday afternoon explaining all the military nuts and bolts for bugging out of the AfghanisNam. Yes the "withdrawal" is a military bug out or retreat or however you may be inclined to call America's getting out a getting out. We's gone everybody. Just like the fall of Saigon then fast forward to Kabul and dang if'n that isn't about some deja vu or what. On an unrelated note, I think that four stars is about as starred a military general can get. The last five star general was Dwight D. Eisenhower. So Afghanistan is over and the 'next six months' will be filled with political insight, bluster, bullshit, recriminations, and hypocritical conjecture from armchair military advisors of all shapes and sizes. The political spectrum will be covered quite succinctly thank you. And yes there is plenty of blame to get spread around for the disgraceful performance that is "Bush's Afghanistan." George W. owns all of it from the start in October of 2001 to the Biden finish August 2021. What a fucking waste of lives and treasure. About one of the ONLY good things to come from the Afghanistan were all of the harvested human organs that were useable for transplant. What, you thought the American military was going to let all those human organs go to waste? I mean besides all the other waste in Afghanistan. American service members killed in the Afghanistan "theater of operations" were picked clean of anything salvageable. Human organ wise that is. For the naive that may, in some manner of discovery, discover that the military was harvesting organs, get a grip. America military wastes a helluva lot of stuff but, human organs does not fall into that wasted category. There's big and I mean really big money to be had in the harvested organs trade. American hospitals all across the America that are in the business of transplanting organs were dependent on those military organs and any number of transplant recipients can now know where those organs they're using came from. Isn't America's military just ever so noble? Sure they are. Okay and so now let us move on from the disgraceful and move on up to the machine art segment of today's program.

if you've any questions or uncertainty about the U.S. military harvesting human organs from cacked soldiers, just ask any military surgical nurse that may have been working at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center that's about 8 miles distant from the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Ramstein Air Base is where just about all of U.S. military flights are destined from just about anywhere in Asia or central Asia or the Middle East or Africa or, you know, wherever. Or ask a hospital surgical transplant team here in the America. That is IF you can prod them into answering touchy questions about where they might be collecting organs from. Good luck with that. 😷

Political Hypocrisy

 A fallen Utah Marine arrived home in a box yesterday. That would have been Sunday August 29, 2021. The arrival destination is at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. That's where President Joe Biden is from. Anyway, the Dover Air Force Base is where all of the U.S. military's soldiers arrive after being...killed in action. President Biden attended the arrival of the soldiers killed at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. I'll bet you didn't know that the airport in Kabul was named after Hamid Karzai. I didn't. Hamid Karzai was the Afghan 'president' for quite some time. Ole Karzai buddy is a real peach and helluva human being. Sure he is. Oh yes and it just so happens that President Biden's being in attendance at the Dover Air Force Base is referred to as "a dignified transfer." That 'transfer' honors returning remains of soldiers killed in any theater of operations declared active by the U.S. military. So that fallen Utah Marine that started this tirade arrived at the Dover Air Base and was attended by the Marine's family. the Marine's family was flown to Dover Air Base on a "private jet." The Marine was from Utah and Salt Lake to be specific. The Marine's family was flown back to Utah on a "private jet" just in time to attend a "special candlelight vigil" being staged at Utah's Capitol and attended by a host of Utah citizens packing flags, sidearms, and enough hypocrisy to fill Rice Eccles Stadium. The Rice Eccles Stadium is where the University of Utah plays football games. Anyway, the candlelight vigil/celebration was attended by ALL of Utah's 'important' elected officials and that's to include Utah's congressional delegation. There was hypocrisy seeping out of just about anywhere on/or near Utah's Capitol. A grander celebration couldn't have been cooked up if there had been advance notice. I'm not certain as to who, or should that read whom, planned this political circus but there it was for all of Utah to see and wonder at. Wonder why in hell such a fuss would be made over this fallen Marine. There have been any number of Utah service members killed in various proxy wars, military actions, covert ops, overt bombings, and war crimes over the years so why now and why with this Marine? I can't seem to find a straight answer from any of Utah's "special" politicos. Oh well. The spectacle was obscene to say the least. Now for some Monday machine art without too much political hypocrisy. I like to leave that to the professional political hypocrites.

Korean Boy Pop Terroristas

 ISIS-K. Who exactly decided to call the Afghan terrorists 'ISIS-K'? Maybe it was the Afghan terrorists themselves. Abdul says to Osama Jr., "why don't we call ourselves ISIS-K so people won't think we're all that bad? You know like those Korean pop boy bands?" Sure, that's how it happened. Makes as much sense as just about anything else. We are living in some damn strange times. So I suppose ISIS-K the terrorist pop boy band is what we'll be living with for the next five to twenty years depending on whomever at the Pentagon is asking for six more months. You know, to hunt those pop boy terrorists down and bomb the bejesus out of wherever they might be hiding in plain sight. With the anniversary of September 11, 2001 dawning in about less than a month, the interim should prove to be interesting to say the least. Every last goddamned terrorista all across our Planet Earth is going to want a piece of the action and won't that just be a barrel of bloody laughs. I would advise anyone planning on traveling overseas in the next month or so to simply...not. Damn Covid-19 the Delta Variant is bad enough and now you toss some lone wolf terrorism into the mix and oh yeah, excitement to be had just about anywhere. I'd be willing to bet that George W. Bush had NO idea of the shitstorm he'd be stirring up when he authored the invasion of Afghanistan just about one month after 9/11. Bush owns all the Afghanistan AND Iraq atrocity and he needs to be prosecuted as a war criminal. So should Dark Cheney. Well and Condoleeza Rice and a vast assortment of flunkies, junkies, and violent assholes in American government. Six more months is all it will take. Sure sure... Saturday's Alright For...Whatever

 Today is your last chance to shop on a Saturday for the month of August. Christmas decorations are starting to pop up in retail outlets all across the America and it won't be long before those Christmas "deals" will be too good to pass up. Pass by? Pass over? Oh get it? that last one is a funny. Pass over and/or Passover? Bad joke and I can admit that. The last week of August seems a bit early for Christmas crap to be showing up but, there it is nonetheless. On an unrelated note, Utah hospitals are having to put patients out on the street. You see there aren't any beds left in Utah hospitals on account of Utah dummies refusing to get vaccinated for the Covid-19 with all the various variants of the Covid in full swing. Utah's dummies refuse to wear masks under any circumstances. Yes Utah dummies are dangerously stupid. Anyway, Utah's hospital-less sickly banded together and started up a sickly ward under an overpass in downtown Salt Lake. Not even Utah's regular homeless would get anywhere near the hospital-less encampment. Anyway the sickly hospital-less encampment got so crowded that Salt Lake City's elected elders sent the S.L.P.D. armed with a bulldozer over to that sickly encampment and they bulldozed all the sickly hospital-less types to the city limits of Salt Lake and left the sickly there to become someone else's problem. That's called an SEP. Got a problem? Get a solution. Might not be the right solution but a solution is what it is. So there you go and that's all the highlights from behind the Zion Curtain. Oh wait, there is one more little nugget of revelatory news stuff. Mormonlands very own el Jefe Jeffey Holland delivered a speech at BYU on Monday August 23, 2021 and el Jefe put all the BYU students on notice that "gays, lesbians, deviants in general, and nonMormon football players at the 'Y' had better be on their very bestest Mormon behavior or ELSE! Or else el Jefe Holland will personally wack their pee-pees hard. Oh yes and, BYU is Utahn for Brigham Young University. Holland has a particularly festering hatred for gays, lesbians, and just about anyone else that might not be Mormon. Oh yeah and it is standard procedure at the 'Y' for school leadership to ignore the behaviors of nonMormon football players. The nonMormon football players can't help how they behave at school, they're not Mormon BUT they can play football and that's all that's important. Just ask Kalani Sitake BYU's head football coach. Well, Here It Is

 The very last Friday in the month of August is upon us and this very last Friday looks very much like any number of last Fridays just about anywhere. With the possible exception of more atrocity and death, same old is same old. The Afghaniscam is ending almost exactly like how it started, atrocity and death. A lot of death. President Biden is promising "revenge" on the ISIS-K terrorists that detonated suicide bombers at Kabul International Airport. That might only take about fifteen or twenty years. The "revenge" thingy. So the 'ISIS-K' band of merry terrorists aren't very chummy with Afghanistan's Taliban. This could prove interesting in the very least. One band of terrorist assholes pitted against a second band of terrorist assholes and the outcome will be a bloody damn mess. No doubt. We can thank George W. Bush for all the Afghaniscam blood and debacle. On an unrelated note, the newly minted ISIS-K terrorists would be an anagram for the band Kiss. Of course you need to add an extra 'i' to the mix but it's curious. Yes very curious. I've always had my suspicions about the band Kiss. Kiss the band isn't actually a rock band. Oh hell no way in hell. The Kiss band is a collection of circus freaks that paint themselves up and then blow up an audience. Strangely circumstantial for sure. Okay so and this might be considered insensitive but who will be the last American soldier to leave a pair of empty boots in Afghaniscam? If that soldier has family, they'll know.
