One time in the mountains of the Sonoran Desert, we (my wife and myself) got to watch a mother mountain lion and her cub wandering over a hill. wondrous to be quite certain. I've never seen the like again. probably won't ever get another chance. BUT, I got to see them once and that was a very special time in my life...
